Shipping information

Mammoth Outdoor ships all goods throughout South Africa. We offer international shipping on certain items within and beyond the SADC region. If you need shipping outside of South Africa please email us with your requirements and we'll get right back to you with a quote.

Shipping charges

Shipping charges are calculated on the weight of your order. In cases where the volumetric weight of the order is greater than the actual weight of the order, the volumetric weight it used. This is most often the case with the gear you'll find on our site. Charges are added to the cost of your order during checkout. Since our inception in late 2007 we have worked continuously to offer you the most competitive rates possible. We continue to negotiate our rates down whenever possible and pass the saving onto you our valued customer. Most small orders ship out To door for R79 and To counter for R62. Most larger orders ship out To door for R119 and To counter for R158. At any time please free to email us with any questions you have with regards to shipping and shipping costs.

Shipping time

When will you get your gear! This is a good question with no simple answer. On each product page you'll see a Ships in: time. This time lets you know how long it usually takes to get this product out the door. Once it's out the door the time it takes to reach you depends on your order weight, shipping method and location.

0-2kg orders dispatched To door to main centres travel overnight (air freight).
Orders dispatched To door greater than 2kg's travel via road freight and take 2-3 working days to main centres.
All To counter orders dispatched to main centres travel overnight (air freight).
All orders dispatched To door OR To Counter to regional areas take between 2-5 working days. The exact time depends on how far outlying the area is.

Options

When you Checkout you'll be asked to choose from three shipping options:

To counter
Own collection

To door

The To door shipping option is the easiest way to get your order sent directly to your shipping address. Proof of identification is required before the order is handed over.

If you select the To door delivery option but don't live in or near to any of the hubs listed below we reserve the right to send your order to your nearest Post Office. If this does happen we'll be sure to first run it past you.

Should you have a specific shipping preference such as Saturday delivery or Overnight Express for a large order, please contact us so we can make the necessary arrangements.

To counter

The To counter shipping option is an equally as safe option. Your order will be delivered to your nearest Post Office. As with To door deliveries you will be required to show proof of identification before collecting.

Own collection

If you live in the Cape Town area and would prefer to collect your order yourself, simply select the Own collection option during Checkout. Our showroom is based in Paarden Eiland and driving directions can be found here. As soon as your order is ready for collection you will be notified by email.

Shipping insurance

Mammoth Outdoor is responsible for your order until you have taken receipt of it (FOB Shipping Point). Even though instances of damage, loss or theft during shipping are extremely rare, you might still want to take out insurance on your order.

Shipping insurance is available at 2.5% of the value of the order. To take out insurance on an order please contact us.
